Bridge lifting times
After the first bridge lifts, the second bridge will open as soon as possible.
The first bridge will open again, if required, for returning vessels.
From Monday 12 October, until further notice, the lifting schedule of Poole Bridge and Twin Sails will be as per the schedule below.

5:30am to 2:30pm:
- Twin Sails opens first, Poole Bridge opens immediately afterwards
4:30pm to 11:30pm:
- Poole Bridge opens first, Twin Sails opens immediately afterwards
The lifting sequence may not always commence with Twin Sails opening first (5:30am to 2:30pm) nor Poole Bridge opening first (4:30pm to 11:30pm).
Unscheduled lifts
When hourly lifts are scheduled, the only unscheduled lifts will be under the direction of the Harbour Master, or from commercial vessels longer than 40 metres.

Mariners need to check the headroom displays at the bridge to judge if they can pass below without the bridge being lifted.
