About this park
Hamworthy Park sits on Poole Harbour and is made up of Hamworthy beach, a large, green open space, a children's play area and a large, seasonal paddling pool.
This park is licensed for you to hire for outdoor events.
Great for
Play parks, paddling pool, beach, walking and views of Brownsea Island and the Purbecks; fitness and watersports.
Opening times
The paddling pool is usually open from May to September.
The car park is locked overnight:
- from 9pm to 8.30am (8am at weekends) October to April
- from 9.30pm to 8.30am (8am at weekends) May to September
Parking
There is a car park in Lulworth Avenue: BH15 4DJ (42 spaces) at the park entrance, but it gets very busy in summer.

The park is always open but the car park is locked overnight.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome on the beach all year round, but not in the play parks or paddling pool.

These play areas have access to a large children's paddling pool (normally open May to September), following recent refurbishment works.
