Coronavirus (COVID-19): change to service
During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have made changes to our services for vulnerable adults to make sure that they are both effective and safe.
See further information about changes to services.
We want care leavers to reach their potential and be active members of society. We believe in you and want you to have the same opportunities in life as other young adults. Our commitment to you is outlined in our pledge to care leavers.
Poole care leaver forum meets every 8 weeks and is a chance to meet with other care leavers. It's also an opportunity to contribute to the development of services for children in care and care leavers. Personal advisors will support you to get to the groups or we can reimburse your bus fares.
We will encourage you to join in local activities, clubs and groups if you want to. Consideration to financial contributions will be given if this would help you.
Youth projects
Youth projects such as The Prince's Trust help uncover your hidden talents and develop your skills, confidence and motivation. Such projects can lead to a nationally recognised qualification and help you move into a job, training or education.
It is not classroom based learning and often contributes directly to your local community.
