You will be supported to buy clothing for interviews and any specific clothing or footwear that is required for your job or work trials. You will also be supported with transport costs for the first month of employment.
The government are introducing a £1,000 bursary payment to support care leavers aged 16 to 24 starting an apprenticeship. This will help you meet the costs of starting work and will support you in the first year of your apprenticeship. The government will pay this once to each care leaver aged 16 to 24 starting an apprenticeship via their training provider.
If you are taking part in the Pathways employability programme or the Care2Work Program there is a financial incentive per session.
