The early years foundation stage service aims to provide comprehensive support and guidance to Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) teams specifically to:
- support schools in fulfilling their legal responsibilities, and ensure they are kept regularly updated
- develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed by EYFS staff in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities
- keep head teachers and EYFS leaders informed of current legislative changes and educational developments that may affect their work
The service is offered at one of two levels: superior and basic.
Each service is a school package. The level to be purchased should be determined by the EYFS Leader in consultation with the head teacher according to their development and support needs.
Superior service includes:
- all EYFS head teachers and leaders mail outs (e.g. EYFS alerts and EYA updates; nutshell, progress guidance)
- log in access to the EYFS webpage with document uploads
- a half day advice and support visit
- free places to all head teacher and EYFS leader briefings
- free access to all EYFS leader networks
- free access to all EYFS briefings and training aimed at schools
- if additional events occur at a cost to maintained schools (e.g. annual conference) you will be charged the same as maintained schools
- comprehensive telephone and email service for advice and support during office hours
Basic service provides:
- all EYFS head teachers and leaders mail outs (e.g. EYFS alerts and EYA updates; nutshell, progress guidance)
- login access to the EYFS webpage with document uploads
- free places to all head teacher and EYFS leader briefings
- comprehensive telephone and email service for advice and support during office hours
Additional services available for purchase:
- EYFS self evaluation and action planning
- in-house training and advice
- EYFSP Summer 2017 moderation visit and report
