Green fingered residents in Poole can now sign up to next year's garden waste collection service.
Garden waste bins are collected fortnightly, running from February to December 2019, and are available to every household in the borough. Residents wishing to receive all 22 collections for the standard price of £42.95 per 240 litre bin must register by 31 December 2018. Access to Leisure and Learning cardholders are entitled to a 50 per cent discount on the first bin ordered, making the service just £21.50.
Cllr John Rampton, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Environmental Services, Borough of Poole, said: "The garden waste scheme remains very popular among residents with an increase in subscriptions annually. We are pleased to offer the continued extended service following customer requests to cover periods of late autumn leaf fall, especially as it represents great value for money.”
To date Poole residents have helped to collect more than 5,390 tonnes of waste from the kerbside in 2018 and it is hoped that even more will be collected in 2019.
