Celebrating Outstanding Early Years Achievement in Poole

A special celebratory reception was held on Thursday 14 March to formally recognise the achievements of Poole early years providers. This included presentations to early years group settings and childminders who have achieved an `Outstanding’ Ofsted inspection outcome and to those who have achieved the Borough of Poole Early Years SENCO award.

Awards were presented by Councillor Mike White, Portfolio Holder for Children’s Services alongside Amanda Gridley, Early Years Services Manager.

The event also provided an opportunity to celebrate the fact that 100% of Poole early years providers, inspected by Ofsted, have received a Good or Outstanding judgement. This means that families in Poole are in the fortunate position of having a wide range of high quality childcare to choose from.

Cllr Mike White, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Children, Young People and Learning, Borough of Poole, said:

“We are very fortunate in Poole to be able to offer parents and carers so much choice of quality provision for their children. The dedication of Poole providers and their commitment to giving high quality care and early education to our youngest children is commendable. This is a great position for early years as we move into the new BCP Council.”
