Culture Volunteers Poole are a small, dedicated team providing a volunteering programme of cultural opportunities to help make our cultural services excellent.
We have various opportunities in the Arts, Museums and Libraries in Poole for you to get involved in. These opportunities can be one off events such as festival site warding or events assistants, or can be on a more regular basis such as weekly digitizing and archiving, or monthly assistance with social media and newsletters.
We do not have a one size fits all approach so if you have specific skills or ideas, please tell us about them and we may be able to create a role to suit you.
You can visit the Culture Volunteers Poole website to sign up to volunteer.
To contact us, call 01202 262608 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also view our volunteer and information guidance booklet for more information.
Numerous locations around Poole including Poole Park, Upton Country Park, Broadstone, and Canford Heath.
Volunteer walk leaders are required to lead walks within the Poole Healthy Walks Scheme. The scheme offers short, free weekly walks led by trained volunteers and plays a vital role in assisting people to take frequent light exercise each week as part of a supportive and sociable group.
All walks are 1-2 miles in length and take place on firm level ground with parking available to ensure that the walks are accessible to people with a disability. The only exception is a monthly nature walk that takes place on Canford Heath.
Museum visitor survey volunteer
Poole Museum is looking for enthusiastic and people oriented volunteers to assist them in surveying museum visitors using bespoke iPad minis. These surveys are part of an initiative by the Arts Council to enable a regional review measuring the impact of museums and develop audiences.
Flexible shifts during museum opening hours.
