Pay your Council Tax

There are several ways to pay your Council Tax, including setting up a Direct Debit, paying online or paying over the phone. If you are unsure, you can check who is liable to pay Council Tax.

You will need:

  • your Council Tax reference number (this can be found on your bill in the top right hand corner)
  • bank or card details

Pay by Direct Debit

Setting up a Direct Debit is the safest and most convenient way to pay your Council Tax.

We offer a choice of payment dates: 1st, 15th or 25th day of each month.

A Direct Debit can be cancelled at any time by contacting your bank or building society.

Internet Banking or Standing Order

You can make arrangements with your bank or building society to set up regular payments to us. You will need the following details:

  • bank account number: 20627437
  • Council Tax reference
