This paper provides information on impacts and mitigations relating to the Local Council Tax Support Scheme for Poole.

Key findings
Approximately 12,000 households claim Council Tax benefit (Sep 2012).
Of those, about half are pensioner households which will not be affected by the change to the Council Tax support scheme.
The council proposes that a further 1,500 vulnerable claimant households (including those with a disability and recognised caring responsibilities) will be protected.
Approximately 4,500 claimant households are expected to be affected by the change to the local Council Tax support scheme.
