Poole Park is the most popular open space in Poole. Opened in 1890 it continues to offer something for everyone in an historic setting.
From 2014 to 2016 the Friends of Poole Park and the council will be making a bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund for approximately £2.5 million to help deliver improvements that have been identified through talking to local people.
We wanted to hear everyone's views because we wish to make a lasting difference to the heritage of Poole Park and the people and communities that use it. Your views will help us demonstrate that Poole residents value the heritage of Poole Park and wish to conserve and enhance it and pass it on to future generations.
We would like people to be actively involved in the bid process and hopefully in the future management of the park. We asked people to get involved in the following ways:
- completing a questionnaire online by 7 March 2014. Paper copies were also available at libraries, the Civic Centre and at all the events below
- attend one of our eight events, listed on the poole projects website. All events were free and open to all
You can read the results of the survey here. Please visit the Poole Projects website for more information on the Poole Park Life project.
Profiles of the area were also produced to support phase 1 of the bid, these are available to download on the right hand side of the page.
