Dorset Victim Support offer support services to both adult and child victims and witnesses of crime across Dorset.

We offer bespoke support plans regularly reviewed to ensure we continue to meet the client’s needs. 

Victims can call us confidentially on 0300 303 0163.

In addition Dorset Victim Support offer support to all victims of domestic abuse risk assessed at standard level. 

Our tailored support plan is delivered by trained caseworkers and volunteers who will provide immediate support, safety planning and ongoing support to cope and recover. 

Later this year we  will be rolling out our iMatter programme for female clients who are concerned about being vulnerable to an abusive relationship and/or recently realised that they are experiencing abuse. This will be a weekly one hour programme run over the course of ten weeks. 

We take referrals from Dorset Police, other Police force areas, other agencies and self-referrals

Opening times

Our opening times are:

  • Monday - 9am to 6pm
  • Tuesday - 9am to 8pm
  • Wednesday - 9am to 6pm
  • Thursday - 9am to 8pm
  • Friday - 9am to 6pm

Outside of office opening hours, clients have access to our Supportline and Live Chat service 24/7, 365 days per year.

For those who aren’t seeking immediate communication and support, a referral can be requested.
