We are still collecting both black (household waste) and blue (recycling) bins as normal. However, on advice from the government regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we need you to take extra precautions with your waste to protect others.

Collection information

We will collect your:

• black waste bin: every 2 weeks
• blue recycling bin: every 2 weeks (alternate week to your black bin)
• green garden waste bin: every 2 weeks (this is a paid service which you need to sign up for)

Where recycling goes

In 2018/19 Borough of Poole’s (now part of BCP Council) household recycling, reuse and composting rate rose to 51.7% and since 2017/18 we have exceeded the government’s target of 50% by 2020. Find out more about where your recycling goes.
