Plans unveiled for a nine-screen cinema in Poole Town Centre

Empire Cinemas unveil exciting plans for a nine-screen cinema complex in Poole Town Centre. Due to open at the end of 2018, this complex is one of a series of forward-looking proposals to revitalise the town.

Commenting on the Empire Cinemas' proposals, Cllr Ian Potter, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Regeneration, Borough of Poole, said: “It’s an exciting time for Poole town centre. Empire Cinema’s proposal represents a massive vote of confidence in Poole as a premier leisure and tourist destination, following on from the recent agreement between the council and Legal & General that will see £26 million invested in our town centre over the next 18 months. The council is ambitious for Poole and the regeneration of the town centre and we look forward to receiving a planning application on this exciting proposal.”
